GMB – What were BMM’s objectives in participating in BiS SiGMA 2025?
Marzia Turrini – Once again, we attended BiS SiGMA, which continues to grow. The number of people, the sector's enthusiasm for this now fully regulated market, it's all incredible. I’m very pleased with the turnout, both from BMM’s existing clients and from all the people interested in speaking with us. And not only about certification and compliance, but also about cybersecurity, which is highly relevant today for Boards of Directors, as well as the topic of education through RG24, where we provide a wealth of information about Responsible Gaming—an integral part of Brazil’s regulation.

Speaking of work, BMM is now officially established with an office and lab in São Paulo. What does that represent for BMM?
Yes, we now have a lab in São Paulo, which makes us very happy. We’re in a four-story facility to support the online and digital segment. But BMM is also preparing to train and qualify our team for land-based operations. We are confident that the government will approve legislation for casino and bingo games. So, we are already getting our Brazilian team ready to test and certify land-based products.
Today, BMM already certifies products for physical gaming, such as video lottery machines for state lotteries. One of them is Lottopar, in Paraná. How is the certification work for these machines going?
Yes. And there’s a lot of interest, especially at the BiS SiGMA fair, and many conversations with lotteries that need certification. BMM is doing very well in this area.

So are BMM’s next steps heading toward certifying machines for physical gaming?
Yes, that’s very important. Digital is obviously the most important segment so far because it already has legislation. But land-based will be very important too. So BMM will also focus on the physical segment.

For the online market, how would you evaluate these first few months of operation?
These have been difficult months, and it has not been easy, which is normal. It is an emerging market in the gaming sector. It is very normal that, when a market opens and regulations and all the rules are applied, everything must be well interpreted, especially because many operators also need to understand how to work within the context of a certification.
So Christmas was difficult. We worked on December 25 as well. Everyone was working on certification. By January 1st, a certificate was required. It was very stressful, yes, but now things have calmed down. I believe Brazil is on the right path. I’m not saying everything is perfect, but I believe we are moving toward a more stable situation.
