“Legitimuz has 65% of the KYC market in Brazil and now wants to conquer the world”

The well-known yellow team from Legitimuz attended recent BiS SiGMA to present new solutions for the iGaming market. In an exclusive interview with GMB, CEO Kayky Janiszewski highlighted Responsible Gaming and financial transaction monitoring tools as the new features at the event. In addition, he was categorical in stating: “We want to go global,” to affirm that there are no more borders and that Legitimuz wants to conquer the world.

GMB – We've received a lot of positive feedback about the tools offered by Legitimuz. Could you tell us a bit about that and what your goals were for attending BiS SiGMA 2025?
Kayky Janiszewski – BiS SiGMA is a sensational event, very large and already well established in the market. It brings the entire sector together — both operators and providers. I imagine every operator who comes here is looking to solve a problem, scale their operation, and stay compliant, thereby getting closer to the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA).

That’s very important because BiS acts as a facilitator and a bridge between solving an operator's problem and even scaling a company or a provider — as was the case with Legitimuz. Next year, we’ll have a booth at least three times bigger than this one.

There’s a growing focus on tools that reduce user friction when entering a betting platform. Are you offering that — making the process almost invisible to the player? Does that really make a difference?
Absolutely, it makes a huge difference. At Legitimuz, we have a document reuse tool that works like a snowball effect. With each verification we perform, we grow our database and need to request documents from fewer and fewer users. Today we hold 65% of the market share, 102 brands operating with us. So, let’s say you, as a bettor, verify your identity with Blaze. When you go to 7k, we say: “Gildo, we already have your document, just take a selfie.”

With that, we eliminate all the hassle of having to get off the couch, find your wallet, pick out an ID, and send it. In our system, we ask for your document just once in your life. That makes a huge difference — it’s actually Legitimuz’s biggest competitive advantage.

How did you achieve such high capability in processing?
It’s a major database challenge, dealing with tens of millions of verifications every month. I’d say we’ve reached this point thanks to having very competent people working with us. The credit isn’t mine — it belongs to our entire team, who work hard, believe in the mission of building innovative solutions, and strive to stand out in the market by making life easier for both operators and bettors.

Did the yellow team bring any new solutions or was this more of an institutional and networking appearance at BiS SiGMA?
Our biggest announcement is that we are truly consolidating Legitimuz as a one-stop shop for compliance — a company that has everything you need to stay compliant in the betting space. That means we handle everything from CPF checks, geolocation monitoring, document analysis, facial recognition, to Responsible Gaming and financial transaction monitoring. We’re releasing a technical documentation package for integrating these new Responsible Gaming and transaction monitoring tools. We’ll be presenting market data in the coming months.

What else is on the horizon in the coming months, now that the market is regulated and increasingly consolidated?
We want to go global. We aim to expand internationally.

I have no doubt about that. How do you plan to enter the international market?
The international market is very competitive. It’s a big challenge ahead. I’ll need good people in several countries, but we’re Brazilian, and I want to show these foreigners the power of a determined Brazilian who thinks ahead — and we’re going to take over the world, verifying identities in every country very soon.
