GMB – What were your goals in attending BiS SiGMA representing SGA?
Rafael Oliveira – BiS SiGMA is the leading event in the sector in Latin America. It's essential for us to be present to understand market behavior, identify new trends, and build partnerships — especially now, during this period of regulation and heightened competition. All players in our ecosystem attended the event with that in mind. Being present allows us to establish new alliances, which is crucial for anyone operating in our segment.
How is SGA positioning itself in this newly regulated environment, especially after a rocky start with onboarding?
In the beginning, everyone faced challenges like certifications, system adjustments, and adapting to new rules. This affected both operators and players. Now, SGA is focused on improving the player experience — ensuring fluidity, speed, and an intuitive journey. Our goal is for the player to feel comfortable with our product, particularly in the sportsbook vertical, and for the operator to choose SGA among the many options available. The adaptation curve has been fully addressed.
We've made improvements to our platform to deliver exactly what operators need to properly serve their players. The new reality of the regulated market demanded this from us, and we've been able to meet that demand with excellent results, especially through Órion, our cutting-edge platform.
Have users of SGA’s client platforms had a smooth onboarding, with proper payment methods and effective KYC?
There were adjustments in the first days of the year, but today we have a stable operation and our clients haven't faced issues. We've worked hard to clarify that KYC is a protection tool — both for players, to ensure no one impersonates them, and for operators.
Recently, we launched an update to further improve the registration process and the initial player experience — minimizing friction while ensuring security. One of those updates was released during BiS SiGMA, specifically targeting the early stages of the player journey. Today, we have a smooth operation with minimal friction, resulting in a better user experience and greater security for operators, who can now implement more aggressive investment strategies knowing that incoming players are properly qualified and validated.
In other words, operators using the SGA platform can feel confident — and those seeking a reliable solution can consider your company?
