‘Bets’ from Grupo Sílvio Santos and two other sites obtain definitive license to operate in Brazil

The Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) granted this Monday (23) the definitive license to explore sports betting and online games in Brazil to the brands Baú Bingo, Tele Sena Bet and Bet do Milhão, of the company TQJ-PAR, part of the Sílvio Santos Group. On the other hand, the company Responsa Gamming was also authorized to operate the websites Joga Limpo and Energia.

Two new ordinances from the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting under the Ministry of Finance authorize five more sports betting and online gaming brands to operate definitively in Brazil.

TQJ-PAR Participações Societárias S.A., part of Grupo Silvio Santos, was granted permission through Ordinance 1344, authorizing the operation of the brands Baú Bingo, Tele Sena Bet, and Bet do Milhão until December 31, 2029. These brands are allowed to offer online games and sports betting in both virtual and physical modalities.

In April this year, the Secretariat had suspended the provisional authorization granted to TQJ-PAR for failing to submit technical documentation and certificates required by the SPA. At the time, the company officially stated that it had already paid the concession fee within the established deadlines and that the documentation process was underway. They also emphasized that operations would only commence in the second half of 2025.

Now, with the definitive authorization, it is expected that the company will soon offer sports betting and online games to the Brazilian market.

Ordinance 1343, on the other hand, authorizes Responsa Gamming Brasil Ltda. to operate the brands Joga Limpo and Energia in the online gaming and sports betting segments. The company is authorized to operate exclusively in the virtual modality, without the possibility of establishing physical stores in the country. For Responsa, the license is valid until June 22, 2030.
