Games Magazine Brasil - How would you describe Kambi’s overall experience at SBC Americas this year, and what solutions or products were presented during the event?
David Bretnitz - It’s always great to have a presence at industry events such as SBC Americas, and this year was no exception. They present a great opportunity to reconnect in person with our partners, while making new contacts and learning about some of the hottest topics facing the sports betting industry today.
We welcomed the opportunity to attend the event in Florida this year, as it enabled us to showcase operators from across the Americas region our portfolio of cutting-edge sports betting products, from Turnkey Sportsbook to Esports to Odds Feed+.
As the home of premium sports betting solutions, Kambi has a product that can help operators take their sportsbook to the next level regardless of their size or strategic direction, and SBC Americas was a perfect opportunity to show these products in action.
The North American market is booming. What challenges does this present for Kambi, and how does the company differentiate itself from the competition there?’
North America has indeed been a fast-growing market since the repeal of PASPA, as well as the launch of regulated single-game sports betting in Ontario, Canada. In recent years, the North American market has become fiercely competitive and there has been a general slowdown in new regulation. However, there remain many exciting opportunities in North America with several large US states and parts of Canada still yet to regulate that could do so in the coming years.
With North America being such a crowded market, the quality of an operator’s product and offering will be key to stand out from the competition. Kambi has built its reputation on our flagship, high-performance Turnkey Sportsbook, and we now also offer a range of standalone services too, each uniquely benefiting from being part of the world’s leading turnkey sportsbook.
The modularization of our end-to-end sportsbook was a natural progression, empowering operators by giving them even more control with an array of standalone services that best fit their operational needs. Today, Kambi is the home of premium sports betting products and our products offer the necessary flexibility to stay competitive in a crowded industry.
Another differentiating factor for us is the power of our network, with our Turnkey Sportsbook processing billions of transactions annually across our extensive global network of more than 50 partners. Each and every product innovation benefits Kambi’s entire network, every incremental improvement – informed by our unique depth of data – integrated into our services and delivered as standard to our partners.
Is Kambi exploring new partnerships or licenses in countries like Brazil, Mexico, or Argentina?
As one of the fastest growing markets in the world, Latin America’s regulated sports betting market presents many exciting opportunities and Kambi is already well established as the leading B2B sportsbook provider in the region. Today, we power market leaders such as BetPlay, BetWarrior and RushBet, and are live in numerous regulated markets from Argentina to Colombia to Mexico.
Most recently, we facilitated day one launches in Brazil when regulation took effect on 1 January earlier this year, and are now live with four Turnkey Sportsbook partners (BetMGM, BetWarrior, KTO, Stake) and one Odds Feed+ partner (Rei do Pitaco).
We're encouraged by the growth and regulatory progress across the region and remain committed to supporting licensed operators with cutting-edge, compliant and high-performance sports betting solutions.
How is Kambi positioning itself in relation to advances in artificial intelligence and predictive analytics in sports betting?
Kambi is at the forefront of utilizing artificial intelligence in sports betting through our AI pricing and trading division, Tzeract. Many talk about the potential of AI but at Kambi, we're showcasing its proven impact, with AI pricing and trading now accounting for more than 30% of our operator GGR. This means Kambi can deliver partners with odds of greater accuracy and enhanced combinability, ensuring your sportsbook meets the wider industry shift of players betting more on higher margin products.
Our pre-match soccer offering is now almost exclusively driven by AI trading, with an increasing number of in-play odds, all available to both Turnkey and Odds Feed+ partners. For an in-depth look at how Kambi is embracing AI, tune in to Kambi’s Festival of Sportsbook where our SVP Trading Simon Noy will discuss the results AI is delivering today and explore its exciting future capabilities.
The Champions League final had arrived – an event every operator looked forward to. Why was Kambi’s technology so essential for handling the large betting volumes that occurred during this kind of event?
Events like the Champions League final brought immense spikes in betting activity, and Kambi’s technology was built to handle exactly that. The platform was designed for scalability and resilience, ensuring seamless performance even under the heaviest traffic. Combined with its industry-leading trading and risk management capabilities, Kambi enabled operators to offer a high-quality, uninterrupted experience to bettors during the most in-demand sporting moments of the year.
