The proposal “mata o Tigrinho” (kills Fortune Tiger) by prohibiting the use of animations to promote the so-called ‘Bets’, in addition to preventing the use of influencers and athletes and establishing time restrictions for advertising.
In the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP) accelerated the vote. The president of the House approved the project in the plenary, reported by the leader of the PL, Carlos Portinho (RJ), shortly after the text was approved by the Sports Committee.
Given the speed with which the text was processed in the Senate, representatives of Bets asked Motta to let the text be analyzed by the thematic committees of the Chamber, which would speed up the processing.
The intention is for the restrictions to be debated by the committees and for the text to be, possibly, modified by the deputies.
‘Bets’ allege that football clubs, in addition to TV stations, want the project changed.
