Lottopar presents new tool to protect against compulsive gambling during ‘Paraná Sem Drogas’

The Paraná State Lottery (Lottopar) participated this Tuesday (3) in the ‘June Paraná Sem Drogas’ event, promoted by the Government of the State of Paraná, through the Secretariat of Public Security (SESP) and the State Center for Drug Policies (CEPD). During the meeting, Lottopar's voluntary self-exclusion tool was presented, considered the only one in Latin America with full integration between all operators regulated by the State.

The event was held at the Oscar Niemeyer Museum and brought together authorities, experts and representatives from different areas of government, focusing on preventing addiction and promoting social protection policies.

Representing Lottopar, the Director of Operations, Fabio Veiga, gave a lecture with an emphasis on actions to mitigate risks related to compulsive gambling and betting, highlighting the role of state regulation as an instrument of security and protection for citizens.

“Paraná has an advanced regulatory model, which not only authorizes the operation of lotteries, but also establishes clear rules of responsibility, control and protection for bettors,” stated Veiga.

During the speech, Lottopar's voluntary self-exclusion tool was presented, considered the only one in Latin America with full integration between all operators regulated by the State.

“When requesting self-exclusion on the Lottopar website, within 24 hours the person's CPF is automatically blocked on all authorized platforms in Paraná. This measure reinforces the commitment to public health and respect for the moment of vulnerability of citizens,” highlighted the Director.

The functionality is part of the responsible gaming guidelines required by Lottopar from its dealers, who must also provide betting limitation tools, excessive usage alerts and support channels, in accordance with international standards of integrity and player well-being.

Lottopar's participation in the event highlighted the integration between public safety and gaming regulation, with a focus on preventive policies.

“Our job is to ensure that the betting sector operates ethically, transparently and with the utmost care for the people of Paraná. We are talking about a public policy of social protection, and Paraná is at the forefront of this process,” concluded Fabio Veiga.
