GMB - Could you tell a bit about the story behind RiskCherry and how the idea for the company came about?
Rob Fell - RiskCherry was established in late 2020 by a team of iGaming industry experts & veterans who identified a gap in the market for a more efficient, transparent and frankly more modern Test Lab.
Frustrated by the slow, opaque and often outdated certification processes they had encountered when launching hundreds of games into 25+ regulated markets themselves the founders & core team’s goal was (and are to this day still is) to revolutionise the certification & audit landscape. Our mission is to streamline the certification process - allowing our Clients to concentrate on creating exceptional gaming content.
What are the main services that RiskCherry currently offers to the iGaming market?

RiskCherry positions itself as a more agile and personalized alternative in compliance and risk management. How do you differentiate your approach from more traditional solutions?

Brazil has recently made progress in regulating sports betting and iGaming. Is Risk Cherry already active or planning to enter the Brazilian market?
With Brazil's evolving regulatory landscape and the size of the market, we view it as a critical market and thus obtaining our approval from the SPA was a key milestone for RiskCherry. On top of the game studios and platforms who went live between 1 January 2025 and the current day there are many more studios preparing to enter the market and we are already supporting a number of these in the short time since our approval, with many more to follow!

In your view, what trends in compliance and risk management will most impact the iGaming sector in the coming years?
The future of iGaming compliance is increasingly influenced by the adoption of automation and AI. These technologies are pivotal for monitoring player behaviour, preventing fraud, and ensuring responsible gaming. As the industry ventures into newly-regulated territories, the demand for agile and scalable compliance solutions becomes more pronounced.
Compliance and risk management have transitioned from peripheral concerns to central pillars of operational strategy. However, the journey towards uniform capacity and focus across the sector is ongoing. There remains significant work to ensure that existing regulated markets can adapt to changes effectively, and that entry into new markets is executed optimally.
Lastly, what message would you like to share with operators and suppliers aiming to stay compliant and protect their business in complex markets like Latin America?
Prioritising compliance as a core business function is crucial for success in complex, regulating or newly regulated markets. This involves investing in robust tools and processes, partnering with knowledgeable entities whether than be for payments advice, technical compliance or certification and by fostering a culture of transparency and player protection.
RiskCherry's mission is to facilitate this journey by offering fast, efficient and regulator-approved solutions, enabling Clients to focus on growth as they expand further into Brazil and other markets.
