Featuring several prominent figures from the sports betting industry, the Bet Summit event showcased André's career in a tribute led by longtime friend Magnho José, journalist and editor of the BNLData Portal and president of the Brazilian Institute of Legal Gaming (IJL).
André Feldman passed away in January 2025, the victim of a tragic helicopter accident that also claimed the life of his wife, Juliana Feldman.
Despite the loss, André's career remains a benchmark in the industry. Over the past decade, he has led several significant initiatives, including the official representation of Caesars Entertainment in Brazil and the founding of BIG Brazil. He also served as a strategic consultant for four international groups, focusing on connecting the Brazilian market with global operators, and was a key player in advancing the legislation regulating casinos in Brazil.
The moving tribute was attended by André's mother, Maria Teresa Feldman, and partners Rodrigo Cariola, Celso Olivatto, and Fabiano de Paula. Also included were accounts from friends such as Senator Rogério Carvalho, President of Loterj, Hazenclever Lopes Cançado, Pay4Fun CEO Leonardo Baptista, and former Ministry of Finance employee Waldir Marques Jr., now director of regulatory affairs at WA.Technology.
"I would like to thank you for the tribute to my son André. I witnessed his lifelong commitment and dedication to regulation. Unfortunately, my beloved, dear, and wonderful son tragically passed away just as this dream was coming true. I taught André that a dream has no size. May my son's memory be a blessing to us all," said Maria Teresa Feldman, the businessman's mother, who was present at the ceremony.
The Bet Summit 2025 also featured the participation of Regis Dudena, Secretary of Prizes and Betting of the Ministry of Finance (SPA/MF), and Giovanni Rocco Neto, National Secretary of Sports Betting and Economic Development of Sports of the Ministry of Sports. In addition to Rogério, two other senators also participated in the meeting: Irajá Silvestre (PSD/TO) and Laércio Oliveira (PP-SE).
The event's program included panels on topics such as cybersecurity, data protection, financial transactions in iGaming, and the legalization of casinos in Brazil.
