Sportradar hosts lecture on sports integrity for Grêmio's squad

Integrity in Brazilian football gained another important chapter this Monday (22), with the holding of a workshop led by Sportradar, a global leader in preventing and combating match-fixing. The action, aimed at the professional squad of Grêmio, was promoted in partnership with the club's master sponsor, Alfa Entretenimento, and took place at CT Presidente Luiz Carvalho, in Porto Alegre.

Delivered by Felippe Marchetti, Integrity Partnerships Manager at Sportradar, the lecture addressed real risks that threaten the integrity of competitions and the careers of athletes.

In a direct and practical manner, topics such as approaches by external agents, legal and disciplinary consequences in cases of match-fixing, betting monitoring methods, and the reputational impacts for those involved were discussed.

The initiative reinforces Sportradar's role as a strategic partner for clubs and sports organizations in building a safer and more transparent environment for sports. With extensive international experience and cutting-edge technology, the company leads educational and preventive efforts in various markets and has been expanding its operations in Brazil in line with the advancement of sports betting regulation.

"The issue of sports integrity is not a future issue—it's a present one. And the receptiveness of Grêmio's athletes and executives shows that the club is attentive and committed to protecting football on and off the field," Marchetti emphasized.

According to him, educational initiatives like this are essential for disseminating knowledge and creating a safety net that benefits the entire sports ecosystem.

After the lecture, Grêmio fans invited by Alfa were able to visit the training center, meet players from the main squad, and receive personalized kits from the sponsor, including the club's official jersey.

The initiative reinforces the commitment of brands like Alfa and institutions like Grêmio to sports integrity, aligned with the international best practices advocated by Sportradar.
