BiS SiGMA to sponsor CGS Recife integrating the betting market in Brazil’s Northeast

BiS SiGMA has confirmed its sponsorship and support of CGS Recife, an event taking place on August 21 and 22 in the capital of Pernambuco. The initiative reinforces the leadership of the global BiS SiGMA brand by bringing Latin America’s main gaming and betting forum closer to a growing regional hub such as the Northeast, aligning strategic synergies and a shared vision for the sector’s responsible development.

For Nuno Bispo, BiS SiGMA’s Marketing Director, the move is part of a territorial expansion plan. “We recognize the dynamism of the Northeastern market and Recife’s potential as an innovation hub for the sector. Many BiS SiGMA exhibiting companies are based in the Northeast, and the region is emerging as a place of great innovation and strong dynamism in gaming and betting as entertainment products for the Northeastern consumer.”

“Sponsoring CGS Recife means partnering with an event that shares our commitment to the development and excellence of the gaming industry through innovation, technology, integrity, and financial inclusion — fundamental pillars for the sustainable growth of betting and lotteries in Brazil,” he added.

CGS Recife is expected to gather around 1,500 participants, including online betting operators, technology providers, jogo do bicho entrepreneurs seeking digitalization, and municipal and state authorities interested in regulatory models.

In addition to the usual panels on compliance, taxation, and anti–money laundering, the program will address high-impact topics that reflect the region’s specific challenges:

* Competitive landscape and expansion opportunities: entry of new players, mergers, strategic partnerships, and the opening of complementary verticals in Brazil.

* Tourism & entertainment: discussions on integrated resorts and cultural routes that could benefit from regulated casinos.

* Regional ESG: social and environmental practices aimed at semi-arid communities in the context of lottery projects.

Elizabeth Leiva, founder and CEO of CGS Events, emphasized the strategic importance of the alliance: “The inclusion of BiS SiGMA as a sponsor of CGS Recife represents a milestone in our consolidation as a high-level regional platform for the iGaming industry.”

She adds: “This alliance not only expands the event’s international projection from now on but also strengthens the exchange of knowledge on regulatory trends, technological innovation, and global best practices — key aspects in such a dynamic context as the Brazilian market. Working closely with BiS SiGMA and ensuring its participation in all our events through 2026 is undoubtedly a winning formula for the sector.”

According to Elizabeth Leiva, “at CGS, we understand that the Northeast is a region with enormous growth potential, where the betting and lottery ecosystem needs to be approached with a technical, strategic vision based on dialogue between the public and private sectors. Having BiS SiGMA at this edition allows us to connect local experiences to international standards, promoting more structured, inclusive, and sustainable development for the entire industry.”

The cooperation positions CGS Recife within the international iGaming events circuit and reinforces BiS SiGMA’s strategy of promoting innovation and regulatory dialogue in all regions of the country. By supporting regional initiatives, the brand solidifies its role as a driver of business, best practices, and social inclusion in a Brazilian market that continues to expand at a rapid pace.

BiS SiGMA is a joint venture between the Brazilian iGaming Summit (BiS), created in 2021, and the Malta-based SiGMA Group, a global leader in organizing gaming sector events, with eight regional editions across all continents. Held annually in São Paulo, the meeting has become the largest business forum for the gaming and betting industry in Latin America, bringing together operators, technology providers, regulators, investors, and specialized media.

The most recent edition occupied 30,000 m², welcomed over 18,000 professionals, and featured 250+ exhibitors from 40 countries. In addition to the trade show, BiS SiGMA offers panels, workshops, and awards that foster discussions on regulation, innovation, and responsibility in iGaming.
