In the statement, Flamengo said that "the contract with Pixbet was the largest club sponsorship agreement ever signed in Brazil" and that "together we won several championships: the 2022 Libertadores, the 2022 and 2024 Copa do Brasil, the 2024 and 2025 Campeonato Carioca, and the 2025 Supercopa do Brasil."
"Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that today, after four years of a successful partnership, it has mutually and amicably terminated its sponsorship agreement with Pixbet. The partnership also included the Flabet brand licensing agreement. [...] The Club is grateful for the partnership and wishes Pixbet every success," the club's statement reads.
Flamengo had been discussing with Pixbet a two-year renewal and an increase in the club's share price. However, delays in installment payments generated considerable dissatisfaction within the club. After negotiations with the bookmaker, the two parties reached an amicable agreement to terminate the agreement.
The club has already indicated its interest in signing a new contract, covering both the master sponsorship of Flamengo and the use of the Flabet brand, with a global sports betting and online gaming company.
Rumors suggest that Superbet, the master sponsor of São Paulo and Fluminense, and Betano, which holds the naming rights to the Brasileirão and Copa do Brasil, are negotiating with Flamengo to take over the club's master sponsorship and the Flabet franchise. The bookmakers have not yet confirmed that they are negotiating with Flamengo.
