BMM officially launches its testing and certification laboratory for Brazil’s gaming market

BMM held an event this Tuesday (19) to announce the launch of its laboratory in São Paulo. As a global leader in product testing, certification, and training, the company brings more than four decades of experience and innovation to support the growth of the gaming sector in Brazil. Marzia Turrini, President of iGaming & Cybersecurity, said the inauguration is a milestone for BMM and demonstrates the importance of the country in the company's strategy.

On this special night for BMM, Marzia Turrini welcomed attendees and gave a presentation on the company’s expertise in product testing and certification. She highlighted BMM’s global experience and stated that “the inauguration is a fundamental milestone for BMM and demonstrates the importance of the country in our company’s strategy. We are building a future of innovation and collaboration with regulators, operators, and gaming providers.”

The President of iGaming & Cybersecurity emphasized that the company is committed to Brazil and ready to provide comprehensive testing and certification services for games, systems, and platforms in the country’s iGaming sector. She added that the opening of the laboratory crowns more than 40 years of experience in the segment.

“We are present in 16 locations across six continents, and establishing ourselves in Brazil shows the importance of having been one of the first laboratories authorized to conduct testing and certification by the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting of the Ministry of Finance.”

In her presentation, Marzia Turrini introduced the main tools available to the market for testing and certification, while also showcasing BIG Cyber’s cybersecurity solutions and the RG24seven Virtual Training programs.

The company also took the opportunity to present CYREBRO, a new tool developed to support and protect the gaming industry against cyberattacks, providing even greater security to the sector.

Marzia stressed that BMM arrives in the country with the clear goal of being the ideal partner to boost the sector’s business with “strong technical expertise and continuous innovation for a bright future of gaming in Brazil.”

Brazil, for us, is strategic and represents an opportunity to innovate and face every challenge ahead. We are bringing our entire global expertise with local operations and a highly skilled Brazilian team that will work closely with regulators, operators, and developers of games and platforms,” she highlighted.

She also confirmed that beyond the strong capability to test and certify within the fast-growing Brazilian iGaming sector, the company is also ready to test and certify equipment for land-based gaming. “State lotteries can also count on our expertise for testing and certifying VLTs. We have seen the recent decision by the Rio de Janeiro government to allow the use of this type of equipment, and I am sure it will be a landmark for Loterj,” she commented. “We are fully available to the regulator to contribute to the development of this new market.”

During the development of the VLT project in Rio de Janeiro, BMM was invited to provide contributions and advice regarding the implementation of the terminals. “Operating in Brazil with a local laboratory is fundamental for us to take significant steps toward the development of a healthy and responsible market,” she concluded.

BMM’s laboratory in Brazil is located at Av. das Nações Unidas, 13797, São Paulo.
