The Corinthians women’s team holds an advantage in the semifinals of the Brazilian Women’s Football Championship. In the first leg, they defeated São Paulo with goals from Jaqueline and Day Rodríguez. The return match will be played this Sunday, August 31, at 10:30 a.m. at Canindé Stadium. The training session took place this Wednesday at the Joaquim Grava Training Center.
Marcela Campos, Vice President of Esportes Gaming Brasil, the group behind Esportes da Sorte, highlighted the importance of the initiative: “Promoting integrity in sport is one of our core pillars. Bringing this issue to women’s football has a special meaning, because it’s not only about protecting the game but also about valuing the journey of women who are increasingly conquering their space in sport.”
She added: “As an executive and also as a woman, I believe initiatives like this strengthen athletes’ careers and increase fans’ confidence in a more transparent and responsible football.”
Íris Sesso, Director of Women’s Football at Corinthians, commented:“Information is always fundamental, and we value that our athletes remain alert to everything around them. A training session like the one held at our Training Center shows that the partnership with Esportes da Sorte goes beyond the sponsor–sponsored relationship. It was a very valuable moment for everyone involved.”
The training was led by Victor Carajuru, Integrity Analyst at Sportradar. During the activity, athletes received guidance on fraud types, legal risks, and reputational impacts, as well as instructions on reporting suspicious approaches directly to the CBF via the email [email protected].
Carajuru stated: “When clubs with the stature of Corinthians open themselves to this dialogue, everyone benefits: athletes, fans, and Brazilian football as a whole.”
This initiative has also been conducted with Corinthians’ men’s first team and U-20 squad, as well as other clubs sponsored by the brand, including Ceará and Náutico.
