The news was confirmed on Tuesday afternoon (5) by the Sorte Online team itself. "Felipe was more than a visionary leader — he was a tireless enthusiast of innovation, passionate about transforming ideas into concrete projects and inspiring those around him. We express our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him," his colleagues expressed with deep sadness.
Maximino had been at Sorte Online for almost four years and previously held the position of VP of Product, Technology, and Operations. During this time, I was one of two people responsible for the platform's technological modernization, always focusing on offering an increasingly intuitive and efficient customer experience.
"He built bridges, accelerated change, and set an example of human and inspiring leadership. We will continue to honor his memory with the same enthusiasm and purpose he taught us to cultivate every day," stated his team in his farewell address.
"Taking on this role is both a challenge and a great opportunity to continue driving Levante's growth in Brazil. Our goal is to continue expanding and focusing even more on the customer experience, creating innovative solutions that simplify the consumer journey and expand access to quality services," highlighted Felipe Maximino upon assuming the new role.
Felipe holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of São Paulo (USP), where he conducted research on accessibility in web systems and ubiquitous computing. He also holds a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV).
Before serving as Vice President of Product, Technology, and Operations at Sorte Online, he also held the positions of Director of Product and Technology, CTO, and Head of Product at the company. Felipe has also worked for leading multinationals in digital transformation, such as the French company Atos and the Indian company TCS, where he has experience in business development.
Maximino's appointment followed the departure of Márcio Malta, who left him as CEO of Sorte Online after five years with the company. During this time, Márcio was a key player in the company's growth, and Felipe Maximino took on the role of intensifying innovation and further elevating the customer experience.
