AMIG and Unico workshop gathers industry leaders to discuss performance and fraud prevention

The Women in Gaming Industry Association (AMIG), in partnership with Unico, is hosting the workshop “Performance and Security in the Bettor’s Journey.” The digital event, taking place this Tuesday (2) at 7 p.m., brings together renowned specialists to debate fraud prevention solutions, identity verification strategies, and security benchmarks inspired by other industries, all with a focus on the gaming market.

A strategic meeting for the sector

With regulation in force and the fast growth of the Brazilian betting market, discussions around performance and security have become a priority. The workshop aims to provide a practical and in-depth view of how technology, data, and innovation can work together to enhance the bettor’s experience without compromising protection against risks.

Panel 1: How to prevent fraud and increase conversion with identity verification

Kicking off the program, Gabriela Dias, Ana Gaming’s Product and Security Director, will present the latest practices in identity verification and their direct impact on iGaming performance.

“In the workshop, we’ll demystify the idea that performance and security cannot go hand in hand, showing how smart identity verification becomes the main driver of conversion and fraud prevention, ensuring a smooth player journey,” says Gabriela.

Panel 2: Security benchmarks from other sectors for iGaming

Next, attendees will hear from Felipe Coelho, Ana Gaming’s Data and Fraud Prevention Director, who will compare practices from industries such as finance and e-commerce, highlighting best practices that can be applied to iGaming.

Mediation and connection between topics

Leading the discussion will be Carol Silvestre, who will connect the content, encourage audience questions, and explore points of convergence between performance and security.

AMIG’s Vision

AMIG’s founders highlight the relevance of the initiative, emphasizing the impact that discussions like this bring to the industry’s maturity.

AMIG’s mission is to increase female presence in strategic spaces and contribute to a fairer, more ethical, and more innovative gaming market. The theme of this workshop is vital, because security is not only a technical issue, but also one of social responsibility and trust among all industry stakeholders,” says Bárbara Teles, AMIG cofounder.

By bringing in specialists from Unico, a reference company in digital identity and fraud prevention, we are connecting the gaming ecosystem to global best practices. This is an important step for the Brazilian market to grow in a solid, transparent way, with focus on the player experience,” adds Natalia Nogues, AMIG cofounder.

Unico

Unico is one of the largest identity verification networks in the world and a pillar of trust in the digital society. Its solutions are based on facial biometrics, artificial intelligence, and reinforced security layers, ensuring 100% certainty about who is performing a transaction and the identity risks associated with it.

This approach enables fraud prevention, data protection, and the promotion of trust between people and companies. Unsurprisingly, Unico has attracted investments from leading global funds such as SoftBank, General Atlantic, and Goldman Sachs.
