More than 1,500 women and 3,000 children have already been assisted, finding safety and strength to start over.
During the visit to the institution, President Hazenclever Lopes Cançado and Vice President Fabíola Esteves toured the facilities and paid tribute to the staff, recognizing the tireless work of those who transform lives every day.
“The ideal would be that places like Lar da Mulher did not need to exist, but as long as violence against women continues to threaten so many lives, Loterj will remain present, supporting initiatives that welcome, protect, and transform lives,” said Hazenclever.
“My tribute goes to the team at Lar da Mulher, to RioSolidário, to First Lady Analine Castro, and to the institution’s president Paola Figueiredo: your work is courage, dedication, and living hope every single day.”
The R$ 3.06 million (US$565,000) investment for the next 12 months reinforces Loterj’s commitment to social responsibility and real impact, aligned with the “Agosto Lilás” campaign, which raises awareness about preventing and combating violence against women.
“Every gesture of care saves lives. Every life transformed reminds us that together we can build a fairer and safer future,” concluded Hazenclever.
