ABC-Bet presents certification and integrity proposals to the SPA

ABC-Bet was in Brasília to present its proposals on certification, training, and integrity as tools to support the regulatory process of sports betting in Brazil to the Secretary of Prizes and Betting (SPA), Regis Dudena. The entity was accompanied by BRA Certificadora, its technical partner responsible for CertBet’s accreditation and impartiality.

The meeting took place with the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA), under the Ministry of Finance, at a strategic moment when the SPA is leading the regulation of sports betting in the country. The objective is to establish rules that differentiate the legal market from the illegal one and consolidate a safe and trustworthy ecosystem.

ABC-Bet, an independent association dedicated to promoting ethics and transparency in the sports betting sector, presented proposals that include certification and integrity seals, which were well received with attention and recognition.

According to the entity, Secretary Regis Dudena praised the initiative, highlighting SPA’s interest in solutions capable of bringing credibility, governance, and technical support for compliance with regulatory guidelines.

In addition to CertBet, the entity also presented the actions of ABC-Bet Academy, focused on training and capacity building for industry professionals. These include executive courses and specialized training programs aimed at contributing to the professionalization of the market.

Another point discussed was the work of ABC-Bet’s Thematic Committees, which develop studies and best practices in areas such as responsible gambling, prevention of match-fixing, compliance, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CFT), innovation, and sports integrity.

ABC-Bet reinforced that certification accredited by BRA Certificadora, combined with the Academy’s educational initiatives and the technical work of its committees, provides reliable, transparent, and impartial processes that serve as direct support for the regulatory agenda and strengthen public trust in the betting sector.

Among those present at the meeting, in addition to Secretary Regis Dudena, were Carlos Renato Xavier de Resende (General Coordinator for Anti-Money Laundering Monitoring and Related Matters) and representatives of ABC-Bet, including its founders and directors: Vinicius Pinho, Fred Justo, Juan Matias Méndez, Rafael Ávila, Marcio Ferretti, and Maria Luiza Cavalcante Lima, CCEP-I, LLM.

The entity emphasized that this action reaffirms ABC-Bet’s purpose of working together with the regulator to ensure integrity, governance, transparency, training, and innovation in the Brazilian sports betting sector.
