Designed to help bettors understand how the regulated market operates legally, recognize their rights and responsibilities, and adopt conscious and responsible consumption practices, this free online training stems from a Cooperation Agreement signed by both secretariats in February of this year.
Enrollment is open until October 20 on the website of the National Consumer Defense School (ENDC), with prior registration on the same platform required.
The classes will provide essential information to identify authorized betting companies, understand their obligations and the rules governing this activity, and guidance on how to avoid risks when using illegal platforms that leave consumers unprotected.
According to Regis Dudena, Secretary of Prizes and Betting at the Ministry of Finance, the initiative strengthens transparency and security in the regulated market.
“One of the central points of the course is to clearly and accessibly show that only websites with the .bet.br domain are authorized by the Ministry of Finance. This ensures that consumers know how to identify safe platforms and avoid risks in illegal environments,” he highlighted.
Paulo Henrique Pereira, National Consumer Secretary, stressed that the joint action between the two departments is an important step forward in protecting citizens.
“The launch of this course is a fundamental step for consumers to have access to quality information and fully exercise their rights. At the same time as we strengthen transparency and security in the market, we are promoting education for responsible consumption, preventing abuses, and protecting citizens’ financial and mental health,” he emphasized.
The course will run from October 27 to December 1, in distance learning format, with a total workload of 30 hours and certification issued by the University of Brasília (UnB).
