GMB – What has Digitain brought to SBC Lisbon and what are your goals at this global event?
Isabela Moreira - Digitain has been structured in the market for some time, and I manage all accounts in Brazil. Speaking specifically about the Brazilian market, our focus is on quality. We’re not chasing numbers or volume, but rather delivering value. Digitain is bringing a cutting-edge sportsbook to Brazil and other markets, fully tailored to local needs and offering bets specific to the country.
In addition, we provide platforms such as Centrivo, a turnkey solution, tracking systems, a sports API, and even a bespoke setup where clients can use their own front-end while we deliver the entire solution behind it. We also offer affiliate solutions, including Relum, our casino and live casino aggregator. There is plenty of innovation coming from Digitain.
Today, the focus is Latin America, especially Brazil, positioning the company as a standard-bearer in the country. Digitain came here to close deals.
Digitain's presence at the event is about showcasing this capability to the Brazilian and Latin American markets as a whole?
Exactly. Brazil is the top priority, but Latin America as a whole matters too. We hold all the necessary licenses: sportsbook, live casino, Imagine Live, Galaxsys, Relum – all fully licensed. In addition, we are monitoring other markets currently undergoing regulation, such as Mexico and Peru.
Brazil has been regulated since the beginning of the year. With eight months of consolidation, how was that initial process and how is Digitain positioned today?
At the beginning, it was a shock to understand what was happening, what could and couldn’t be done. Even for Brazilians, it was difficult to grasp the boundaries. We already had partners before regulation, though some were unable to become compliant.
Our focus has always been on being regulated. Today, we only work with licensed operators, fully aligned with market requirements. Numbers are growing, and new contracts are being signed through our Brazilian entity. By February, Digitain will have its office in São Paulo in full operation, with the company legally established and all contracts formalized through this local unit.
Digitain is already active in strict global markets, and Brazil’s regulation has proven even more robust. Does this open doors to other countries?
Absolutely. Brazil is the “mother” of Latin America, the largest country and a huge market. When other markets see that we are well established here and doing things right, it generates very positive feedback and strengthens our image in other countries as well.
Are there still challenges to overcome in the Brazilian market?
There always are. Many areas remain “between the lines,” where it’s still unclear what can or cannot be done. But this is normal at the start of a new regulatory era. We are working closely with our compliance team to always stay on the right path, respecting legal boundaries. The trend is toward evolution and steady improvement.
Is responsible gaming already part of Digitain’s DNA?
It always has been, and in Brazil it couldn’t be different. Even more so because we also need to educate the Brazilian player, who previously lacked this culture, marked by the history of informal practices such as the jogo do bicho. Responsible gaming is a priority for us, with a dedicated team focused exclusively on this issue alongside all other areas.
What are Digitain’s short- and medium-term plans for the Brazilian market?
The main focus is finalizing and formalizing contracts already signed with major partners such as Esportes da Sorte, LOTTU, and Bet7K, which are helping consolidate our presence. In the long term, our goal is to grow with key partners, always prioritizing quality over quantity.
