According to the congressman, the debate is part of the subcommittee’s work plan, approved on June 11, which foresees seven thematic hearings and a roundtable to deepen discussions on the regulatory, economic, social, and institutional aspects of the betting sector in Brazil.
The goal is to discuss the perspectives and challenges of sports funding in the country, with a focus on the entities that make up the National Sports System and receive resources linked to lotteries and betting.
Caio Vianna added that the discussion seeks to propose solutions to ensure the continuity and strengthening of public sports policies, even in the face of fluctuations in revenue.
“Holding this hearing directly contributes to the fulfillment of the subcommittee’s work plan, ensuring technical grounding and a plurality of views for legislative measures on the subject,” he stated.
