GMB – What were Amusnet’s objectives in participating at SBC Summit Lisbon, and what new products were presented at the event?
Marco Pequeno – We brought our machines to the global gaming market and, for Brazil, we are focusing on online tools, such as a new one, Lucky Spins, which is already available in the country. We also introduced a bonus tool that is already undergoing certification and will be available to our partners within one or two months. It’s a very up-to-date solution that will ensure even greater profitability for operators.
How was the interaction with those who visited Amusnet?
It’s always a pleasure to welcome everyone at the expo. Our booth was well designed, with a bar and meeting rooms to receive our clients, have conversations, exchange ideas, and build business relationships. This helps unlock some deals, and events like this are perfect for that.

You mentioned new products. Is innovation a buzzword in iGaming? What competitive advantage can Amusnet offer operators with its products?
In addition to bonus tools, there’s another point worth highlighting. We talk a lot about innovation, but it’s important to stress that it is something constantly happening. Also, localization is key to delivering advantages to our partners. That, combined with a local team and tailored games, is essential. In July, we launched Caramelo Sortudo, which is performing very well in the Brazilian market and has been a great success.
We have more Brazil-focused games under development, already with defined themes. It will be very exciting, as they will resonate with a specific niche of the Brazilian audience. It’s about a part of Brazil that sometimes gets overlooked.
How do you see the consolidation of Brazil’s regulated iGaming market and also the sector’s expansion in Latin America, such as in Chile and Peru?
Regulation is a natural path for the sector. We lived in the gray market for a long time and I, with 13 years in the industry, spent 12 of them in this gray area. I have spoken a lot with the Secretary of Prizes and Betting, Regis Dudena, during events, to emphasize the importance of regulation. It is necessary, and it makes no sense for some countries to ban the activity. I don’t know the Chilean market well, and I heard that India shut down its market. That’s actually good for Brazil, which is regulated and attracting many companies.
We simply cannot ignore regulation. We need it, and it is important to put an end to the gray market. With it, there is greater tax collection, contributing to society and ensuring legal security both for providers and operators, while also protecting players.

Regarding regulation, what challenges did Amusnet face and overcome?
Certification wasn’t difficult, but it was challenging. We already had GLI-19, but we had to adapt some aspects of our games to comply with the established rules. I wouldn’t call it hard, because Amusnet has great potential and development strength to adapt to all of this. On the very first day of regulation, we already had more than 168 games certified for Brazil. Today, we have surpassed 200 titles.
What are Amusnet’s short-term plans beyond the new game coming soon?
The strategy now is to onboard new clients, with whom we are in almost finalized negotiations. We have launched several games and partnerships, which have been covered by Games Magazine Brasil. The strategy is to have as many clients as possible and ensure our games run efficiently, which is not difficult for us, since our titles feature excellent RTPs and offer different experiences. We now have more than 200 games of all types. For the moment, we are focusing on slots, but there are new things on the way.
