“SlotMatrix certification in Brazil opens up space for expansion across Latin America”

Josmar Diaz, senior sales manager at SlotMatrix, spoke to GMB about the expansion phase of the company, one of the largest casino aggregators in the world and part of EveryMatrix. She highlighted growth in Latin America and the recent certification in Brazil, where regulation is a benchmark for other markets. The executive reveals that the brand is preparing titles inspired by Brazilian themes and an innovative loyalty system to integrate sportsbooks and casino into a single experience.

GMB – What were SlotMatrix’s, from EveryMatrix, objectives in attending the SBC Summit Lisbon?
Josmar Diaz – We are very pleased to participate in SBC Summit Lisbon. The event proved to be fantastic, with great attendance and numerous client meetings during the show.

Was SlotMatrix’s goal to present its games portfolio to the European market or to the Latin American market, which had a strong presence at the event?
We are doing both. The European market is already well consolidated, so now we are strengthening ties with the Latin American market. We are already part of the Ibero-American Corporation of State Lotteries and Gambling (Cibelae) as a way to get even closer to the region. Latin America is our North Star for 2026.

We know SlotMatrix has strong expertise in developing games through its own studios. Is innovation the keyword for them?
SlotMatrix is growing significantly and will continue to grow in the coming years. We have more than five proprietary studios, with over 30 games certified for Brazil. They are already ready for local operators. At the same time, we are working in Peru and Colombia, where SlotMatrix is entering very strongly.

Was it difficult to certify your games for the Brazilian market?
Actually, no. We are used to working in regulated markets and we know the certification and entry process well. It just took us some time to fully understand the regulation and adapt everything technically. Everything is in order, and by the end of the year, we will have 10 new games certified for Brazil.

With the developments made by SlotMatrix to enter the Brazilian market — which has a very robust and strict regulation — do you believe this will allow the company to enter other jurisdictions moving toward regulation in Latin America?
Brazil is a very important focus for the entire region, as are other countries looking to establish rules for the sector, such as Chile. This represents growth for the whole region. With that, we will have more opportunities to operate, with certifications tailored to each one, so operators can achieve greater profitability. Peru, Colombia, and Brazil are pioneers and will encourage other countries to regulate the sector.

Are SlotMatrix’s studios already working on developing games with Brazilian themes?
Yes. We will work on Brazilian, tropical, and Latin themes, filled with fun and energy. We are excited about our team, especially after acquiring Fantasma Games. The team is highly skilled in creating well-localized content.

Beyond launching games, what are the short-term plans and what’s ahead for early 2026?
We continue to work strongly with our player loyalty systems. They are connected with our sportsbook and casino. It’s a very robust and interesting system. I’d like to take this opportunity to invite everyone to discover this solution.
