Locamp will be able to explore any lottery modality provided for in Brazilian legislation, which includes scratch cards, number-based betting lotteries (such as Mega-Sena, Lotofácil, Quina), sports lotteries (such as Timemania), among other products.
Of the funds raised with Locamp, 13% will be allocated to the Campinas City Hall, while the remainder, after deducting maintenance expenses, will be the profit of the selected company.
The administration explained that of the 13% allocated to the public sector, 12% will go to the Departments of Social Assistance, Sports and Leisure, and Culture and Tourism. The remaining 1% will be directed to the Municipal Department of Finance.
In August, the city confirmed three eligible companies during the call process, while two others were disqualified for failing to present the required documentation.
“The concession will be granted to the company that meets the requirements of integrity, technical, and financial capacity,” explained Aurílio Caiado, Head of the Finance Department. There is no current revenue forecast for the city from the municipal lottery.
