The inauguration was marked by the live broadcast of the program Conversa com o Governador. Immediately afterward, the 69th draw of the Nota Cidadã program was held, awarding a total of R$100,000 (US$18,800) in cash prizes, with 30 winners receiving R$2,500 (US$470) each and one special prize of R$25,000 (US$4,700).
On the occasion, the state’s chief executive highlighted that the delivery of the studio ensures greater transparency and modernization of lottery services. “Lotep is 70 years old and needs to modernize in line with changes in legislation for the sector. This studio was created to allow the highest possible transparency for each draw and to provide greater social reach for the Lottery. In addition to supervising legalized gaming, the revenue generated is invested in social projects,” he emphasized.
The studio will be open to the public and accessible to people with disabilities, allowing bettors and interested parties to attend the draws in person upon prior scheduling by email ([email protected]) and presentation of an official photo ID and CPF. Minors may only access the venue when accompanied by their legal guardians.

Finance Secretary Marialvo Laureano highlighted the social role of the authority: “Lotep supports more than 80 institutions, and these funds will also be used to finance Empreender, our entrepreneurship promotion agency."
"The space is very well located within the Paraíba Communication Company, where Lotep’s daily draws and those of Nota Cidadã will be held, strengthening the Lottery and showing that we operate fully within the law, with complete transparency, delivering results to society.”
Lotep Superintendent Petrônio Rolim pointed out the advances and investments that have made the body stand out nationally: “This is an excellent space that brings transparency and security to Lotep’s activities."
"We are pleased to inaugurate this environment to attract more companies willing to invest in the state’s legal gaming sector, doing so with great responsibility,” he said, stressing that gambling should be seen as entertainment, not as an investment.

The State Lottery of Paraíba (Lotep) is a state authority dedicated to managing and operating lottery activities within Paraíba. Operating in compliance with federal regulations, Lotep works directly and through partnerships to promote social welfare and support programs in essential areas such as social assistance, health, sports, education, culture, and public safety, through its own resources and the social contributions of authorized operators.
In 2024, the authority supported more than 50 institutions and social projects in various cities across the state, transferring approximately R$18 million (US$3.4m) to the treasury.
The ceremony was attended by Prosecutor General Leonardo Quintans; Secretaries Gilmar Martins (Planning, Budget, and Management), Nonato Bandeira (Institutional Communication), Jean Francisco Nunes (Public Security and Defense), Bruno Frade (Executive Finance Secretary), Fábio Brito (Attorney General of the State), and Naná Garcez (President of the Paraíba Communication Company – EPC).
