GMB – How was Sportradar’s participation at SBC Summit Lisbon?
Eduardo Lobato – It was an excellent experience. The event gave us a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships and exchange ideas with strategic partners in the industry. In addition, we had the chance to closely follow the trends and discussions that are shaping the future of the sector.
For Sportradar, being present in such a dynamic and international environment reinforces our commitment to always staying close to the main players in the market.
Brazil stood out significantly at the event. How does Sportradar view this movement?
Brazil was truly in the spotlight during the conference. We saw Brazilian companies on panels, in business meetings, and as exhibitors, along with a very strong presence of professionals from the country. Virtually all operators were at the fair. This confirms Brazil’s potential as one of the most relevant markets globally.
For us, who already have consolidated operations in the country, it was a source of pride to see this leadership, as well as an opportunity to reinforce our role as a technology and innovation partner for the industry.
What were the main topics discussed in meetings with partners?
One of the major highlights was artificial intelligence, which has been revolutionizing the way we transform data into value for operators. At Sportradar, we use AI to convert raw sports data into smart, immersive, and personalized experiences. It’s not just about having data but about making it meaningful: our solutions apply advanced AI to optimize everything from odds generation to fan engagement, creating faster, more relevant, and more strategic experiences.
In this context, the Managed Trading Services (MTS) always stands out in conversations as our most robust and complete solution. MTS uses real-time data and AI-driven models to provide efficient risk management, trading optimization, and profit maximization. It automates critical functions and adapts to each operator’s profile, enabling quicker and more sustainable decision-making.

How important are events like SBC Summit Lisbon for Sportradar?
Events of this scale are essential because they bring together the entire industry chain in one place: operators, suppliers, regulators, content creators, and startups. For us, beyond strengthening ties with existing clients, it’s a way to open new doors and be at the forefront of conversations that define the future of the sector. We left Lisbon with stronger relationships, a sense of accomplishment, and the certainty that we have even more opportunities to explore together with our partners.
In addition, we were recognized with two awards at the event — Land-Based Betting and Gaming Product: ORAKO and Sports Data Product — achievements that reflect our ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence.
What will be the most important trends in the gaming industry in the near future?
We believe several important trends will shape the gaming industry, especially in Latin America. This region is becoming increasingly significant due to rising income levels, greater internet access, and the evolution of online gaming platforms. With a community of more than 250 million users, substantial growth is expected in the coming years.
One clear trend is the integration of AI and immersive technologies, which will continue to transform how fans interact with sports. We are witnessing a shift from passive viewing to immersive and interactive experiences. Our Broadcasting Solutions and Virtual Stadium initiatives exemplify this trend, offering fans enhanced engagement opportunities through features like virtual court views and social betting experiences. The ability to process large volumes of data using AI will allow us to create highly engaging micro-markets, going beyond traditional betting options.
