“BiS SiGMA supports other events to strengthen the gaming ecosystem across Brazil”

BiS SiGMA, the largest iGaming expo in Latin America, has been supporting regional events to strengthen Brazil’s overall gaming and betting ecosystem. During the Municipal Lotteries Congress held in São Paulo, Marketing Director Nuno Bispo highlighted that the goal is “to build closer ties with those who, like us, work for Responsible Gaming and sports integrity in the face of regulatory and tax challenges.”

 

GMB – BiS SiGMA has been increasingly embracing partnerships with events across Latin America. What does this mean for the region’s leading player?
Nuno Bispo – BiS SiGMA is already a benchmark event for the gaming and betting ecosystem and has assumed a greater mission for the industry as a whole. We understand that we are not just a business platform, but also an integrator of opportunities throughout the year with entities and market players operating in Brazil.

It is part of our strategy and market vision to stand alongside those who share the same common goals, among them Responsible Gaming and sports integrity. This way, we create greater business opportunities for the exhibitors who are with us at BiS SiGMA.

So, is this a strategy to strengthen the entire gaming sector in Brazil?
We believe that in our industry everyone must help one another, since we face a series of challenges. By doing so, we will be much stronger — politically and strategically — united rather than divided.

What is BiS SiGMA’s proposal for the 2026 edition, which will take place in April 2026?
Our mission is to deliver more and better, not only for the exhibitors but also for the visitors. This year we had 17,000 unique attendees and nearly 300 exhibiting companies, and our goal is to continue growing within the Brazilian market, which faces consolidation challenges. At the same time, we aim to attract new segments that are not originally part of the iGaming industry but are approaching us, particularly technology sectors.

On the other hand, we are also aiming for regional growth throughout Latin America. BiS SiGMA wants to reach more players across LatAm, and globally, SiGMA will hold an event in Mexico representing the North American market.

Did the proposed tax increases cause some players to delay their participation in BiS SiGMA 2026?
The market situation is one of uncertainty, and many are waiting to see what will happen. Indeed, the regulatory and tax issues in our industry are controversial and financially impact companies. This affects our participation levels at the expo since it is tied to company investments. However, we are confident we will overcome this scenario, because the market is successful mainly due to Brazilians’ passion for betting.

This heritage comes from the population’s long-standing passion for lotteries, which is why we were at the Analome event promoting local lotteries. We understand that there is a new business opportunity in this segment, which is solidifying in Brazil.

We invite everyone to join us at the next BiS SiGMA 2026, an edition that will surprise with many new features. It will take place from April 6–9 in São Paulo.
