During the meeting, the bylaws, territorial scope, and represented category were approved, and the first executive board was elected: Thiago Balieiro (President – Levante Ltda.), Yasmim Queiroz (Vice President – Stake Brasil Ltda.), Laura Morganti (Chief Financial Officer – Betboom Ltda.), and Marcos Sabiá (Administrative Director – Galera Gaming Jogos Eletrônicos S/A).
The fiscal council, authorization for the union’s registration, provisional address, and funding mechanisms were also defined. In his remarks, President Thiago Balieiro emphasized the importance of unity, innovation, and building a regulated, safe, and prosperous market.
SINDIBETS/SP will exclusively represent fixed-odds betting and online gaming operators based or active in São Paulo, consolidating the organization of the segment in the state.
According to the new CFO, Laura Morganti, SINDIBETS/SP was created to represent and strengthen the fixed-odds betting sector in São Paulo, fostering unity and dialogue on labor-related matters specific to the activity.
“Its importance lies in serving as the guardian of the labor specificities of the segment, which until now lacked an entity reflecting its needs and challenges. Furthermore, the union seeks to work with the state government to contribute to regulation, ensuring that its particularities are taken into account in public policy development,” said Morganti.
“With its work, SINDIBETS/SP aims to build a more organized community, aware of its rights and responsibilities, fostering a fairer and more regulated labor environment, while promoting the sector’s sustainable growth at the regional level.”
To participate in the assembly, companies had to prove operations in São Paulo and send legally appointed representatives. The required documentation included the representative’s official ID, updated articles of incorporation, CNPJ registration, and a notarized power of attorney when applicable.
The call notice was signed by Laura Beatriz de Souza Morganti (Betboom Ltda.), Barbara Rodrigues Lima Teles (Stake Brazil Ltda.), and Marco Antonio Dominici Paes (Galera Gaming Jogos Eletrônicos S/A), who formed the organizing committee of the founding process.
SINDIBETS/SP represents exclusively sports betting and online gaming operators with headquarters or activities in the state of São Paulo, consolidating an economic segment that has been expanding in recent years following Brazil’s new regulations for the sector.
